To strengthen the students’ awareness of self-management, self-study and self-service, and to help the Y2013 CIE students to adapt promptly to new life and to learn new study method, CIE organized a series of activities, namely, guidance of student Party members, class-to-class cooperation and experience-sharing-talk of excellent senior students,aiming at improving new students’ ability to study and to make suitable individual plans.

                                                   Heart-warming Guidance of Student Party Members
For the reception of Y2013 students, CIE set up Party member service station to welcome and help the new students and the parents; to ensure the difficulties known and solved timely, CIE organized the student Party member to collect information about the problems and difficulties in life and study of the new students, through 1 Party member + 1 freshmen dormitory and Party member tied to new students class; to introduce the new students the fundamental of CCP and cultivation of students CCP member, attracting the excellent students to join in the Party; to collaborate with the initiation education of new students, to respond to the questions of Party lecture, A&F rules and regulations, college study methods, which all contribute greatly to the growth of new students in university. Up to now, 22 student CCP members have known about the freshmen’s specialty and hobbies, contact information and study ability, and have worked out the list of CIE contact information of 1 Party member + 1 freshmen dormitory, which laying solid foundation for following work.

                                         Class-to-Class Cooperation Promoting the Mutual Friendship
It is what CIE encouraged that old and new class of the same discipline work collaboratively for the promotion of mutual friendship and development. Inspiringly, Bio-technology base class 121 and 131 have made it real when the sodality of two classes held on the evening of 22 September. At the party, students of class 121 introduced various class and college activities with the illustration of numerous pictures depicting A&F sports meeting, engineering training, field practice in Qinling Mountain and the Communist Youth League activities, to have them have full understanding of college life and culture, while class 131 extended their thanks to the senior students with enjoyable talents show of solo singing, reciting, hip-hop and group singing for their support and concern. The freshmen were very satisfied with the sodality as which not only enhance the tie and strengthen the communication between classes, but also further their understanding of the college life in CIE. They also expected to benefit more from the activity in the future.   

                                       Guidance of Excellent Students Serve to Solve Problems Timely
On 25 September, CIE excellent students experience-sharing reports were initiated to help the freshmen with the problems in their adaption to new life and study and and confusion about the specialties of CIE cultivation model, while outstanding students of Y2010,Y2011 and Y2012 were invited to visit the new class and share their experience and feelings of life in CIE via group discussion. Their guidance was of great help for the freshmen to make scientific academic plan, that enjoys great popularity among the Y2013 students.

It has been decided that CIE will further the exploration in this working mechanism, which can serve to guarantee the continuity of learning experience and methods, shorten the adaptation process and improve the study quality and efficiency.
