On the evening of 22 July 2013, service team to countryside composed by CIE students and Life Science College students came to village Xizhai in Mei county and gave a show of Summer Love for Countryside to the thousands of farmer audience.

The evenings started at 8 o’clock sharp as the cheerleading gym dancing began, followed by the comic dialogue My University Life showing the wonderful university life of students , and the duplicated comic short play Money Never Matters reproduced the classic works of Mr. Zhao Benshan. Besides, hot hip-hop dancing, pop songs medley and graceful folk dancing served the audience a great feast of vision and audio with various style and flavor show. Members of bilingual class gave a sign language show A Grateful Heart, while children of dancing team’s how Happy Children gained more cheers and applause from the audience. It could often be heart that “ look, can you see? that’s my son!”, “hey, your son is doing great!”,which showed their recognition to hard work of the service team.

Something more fabulous came to the line-dancing and Qinqiang opera given by the aunties invited from village Angou and Xizhai, which livened up the atmosphere greater and moved the students deeply. At the party, name list of winners of Kiwi Fruit Wrapper Design Contest was announced and the prizes were awarded by the leader of village Xizhai. Mr. Zhang from village Angou, as a shutter bug recorded the party completely. 

It was the first time for the students to organize an evening of such size, from the programming and equipment settlement to site layout and interaction activity were more than small challenges to them. It was their persistence and endeavor that make the wonderful party possible.

Departure always came along with celebration. At the end of evenings, the children were eager to take group pictures with their teachers, their sincere affection and emotional tie greatly moved the service team.

Warm heart spirit never goes away with the ended activity. Members of service team passed the love and dream on to the farmers of Mei County and also lit the their passion on serving agricultural development and the whole society. Ever lasting the love, Ever green the youth.
