Jiaxian County of Shaanxi Province used to serve as China’s revolutionary base, witnessing the history of Chinese army and people in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It is also one of the best places to visit to enhance young students’ love to our nation. An investigation team of six CIE students, few days ago, headed for this site of significance, visiting the military dependents, revolutionary museum and revolutionary sites. Listening to the deeds of Red Army and Singing the Revolutionary songs, young visitors had a profound understanding of patriotism and revolutionary spirit.

Visiting Military Dependents

Accompanied by staff of Bureau of Retired Veteran Cadres of Jiaxian County, CIE students came to the house of Mr. Zhang Shuming, a veteran Red Army man, who passed away few years ago. Mr. Zhang Liji, son of the deceased hero, shared the deeds of his father and the history of Jiaxian County in the revolution.

This visit not only furthers the students understanding of Chinese history, but also enhances their belief in Communist Party of China.

Singing Revolutionary Songs

The East Is Red, the nation-wide popular ballad inspired greatly the Chinese people, was a musical work from Mr. Li Youyuan, a folk singer of north of Shaanxi. The CIE students found greater inspiration in visiting the house museum of Mr. Li Youyuan.

Taking the Mission of Promoting Revolutionary Spirit

Central Committee of Communist Party of China used to station in Jiaxian Counry, Yulin City of Shaanxi Province for over 100 days, where the Shajiadian Battle, Wu Zhen Battle and many other decisive battles were deployed. CIE students visited Shenquanbao, the quarter of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China and learn about the revolutionary deeds there.

It was the numerous communists who sacrificed their lives for the liberty of Chinese people. Their spirit of dedication, diligence and patriotism united the whole country. Their respect to people, hearty consideration to people and great contribution to our nation proved their vital role in China’s history, second to none. We are taking the historic mission of promoting and practicing the spirit and making our contribution to our China Dream.
