On evening of Dec 24th, our college held the 2011 New Year Evening of Fantastic Youth, Prosperous College in Xiushan Recreation Center on south campus. The party lasted two hours and entertained the audience greatly by offering an genuine audio-visual feast. Leaders from our college, university's academic affairs office, university's student affairs office, university's Youth League Committee, along with all the staff, some of lectures, headteachers and all students from our collge attended the party.

        Ahead of the party was college award ceremony. Secretary of Party General Branch and Executive Vice Dean of our college, Professor Yuchun Chen announced the award. Leaders and distinguished guests presented the certificate of honor to model groups and individuals of 2009-2010 academic year.

        The dancing Wondering in the Snow initiated the evening party. More spectacular programs presented in well-designed sequence was received with hearty rounds of applause. The party consisted of three sections: Vigorous Youth Sailing from CIE, Bold Exploration and Aggressive Innovation, Seasoned Past and Prosperous Future. Each section was designed with profound symbolic attachments. They not only demonstrated the splendour and optimistic outlook of freshmen, sophomore and junior students of our college respectively, but also expressed students' gratitude for leader's bold reformation, selfless consideration and tuition of teachers, voicing their determination and courage to keep moving forward with college. Dancing program Walts of Love, English Drama The Emperor and The Assassin and the short play You are Shocking and Striking climaxed the party. Interaction activity of Santa Clause with Gifts got most audience participated and liven up the atmosphere greatly.

        College Dean Professor Wang's New Year Speech shown on screen commenced the last section of the party. Examining the past and looking into the future, Professor Wang made his requirements  hope known to all the students. He also encouraged them to keep up the good work and be a qualified student with essential competence. In cheerful atmosphere, the song Love China brought a close to the party.

        The party produced so much favourable comment from the audience. All preparation of the party, including design and schedule work were run by students only. The fantastic performance demonstrated the college students' positive spirit of being ready to shoulder responsibilities, which  in turn stimulates them to make greater success in the coming new year.
