On the afternoon of January 5th, CIE welcomed NWAFU Party Secretary Li Xingwang who came to CIE for an inspection concerning the CIE development status and situation, top-notch innovative talents cultivation and the further development of Youren College.

Mr. Li visited Youren College cultural square, Yuantong Zhi science workshop and other facilities for cultural education before observing the flipped-class Mao Zedong Thought and Introduction to the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics conducted by Mz. Hu Hong, having a thorough idea of Youren College’s construction and educational system.

At the meeting with Mr. Li, the CIE Dean Mr. Ou Wenjun made a general report concerning the status quo, educational philosophy and practice of CIE. The College Party Secretary Mz. Li Haihua, along with other senior staff of CIE reported the top-notch innovative talents cultivation, internationalized education, the construction and development of student affairs working team.

Student academic mentors and teachers representatives were also invited to the meeting, who spoke highly of the talents cultivation quality of CIE and extended their expectation to the further development of CIE. They shared their ideas of offering discipline-frontier-centered courses, enhancing the mentors’ contact with students, optimizing the credits allocation and strengthening the construction of teaching body.

Mr. Li took notes carefully of all remarks voiced and occasionally exchanged ideas with the speakers. In the conclusion of his speech, he praised the fruitful exploration conducted by CIE in the top-notch innovative talents cultivation of agricultural and forestry institutes. He encouraged CIE to keep upgrading the educational philosophy and to focus on raising students’ innovative awareness and improving their innovative abilities, so as to improve the cultivation quality sustainably. He pointed out that the construction and all activities of Youren College should serve to mobilize the initiate of students. As long as the student organizations work well under the instruction of all mentors and teachers, the student-managed system can be activated greatly for the over-all development of Youren college and the students.
