To give warm reception to Y2018 CIE students, all staff of CIE pitched in the preparation work for their coming with enthusiasm and passion. Long before the new term, we had already launched the reception preparation. 

The heads of CIE attached great importance to the reception, and had held a special meeting on this issue before the summer vacation and made detailed and careful deployment based on the CIE’s characteristics. CIE has already assigned academic tutors, student affairs tutors and academic tutor assistants for each class of freshman . Through the interview competition in the early stage, the capable academic tutor assistants were selected, who then consulted the tutors about the detailed plan and soon get started to work. At the same time, to successfully complete the orientation work, our college had recruited volunteers and conducted training during the summer. All the departments of the Student Affairs Committee of the Youth League Committee participated in the project and encouraged other students to join in. With the great support of CIE heads and the joint efforts of the various departments of the Student Union Committee, we are fully ready for the orientation of Y2018 students. 

After the completion of the enrollment work, the college will open communication channels between freshmen and the colleges. With the help of new media platforms such as official WeChat, QQ group, Weibo and E-class, our college will launch a welcome service to map out the blueprint for university life in advance. The freshmen will get information about their class, student ID, accommodation conditions, and the campus environment.

The new media platforms have successively published themed articles such as the “New Student Guide” to provide new and detailed guides for the new comers, so that they can integrate into the warm family of CIE as soon as possible. In addition, we gave vivid and detailed introduction to the "green channel" of tuition fee, daily necessities subsidies, toll subsidies and other support measures through QQ group and other social network platforms, hoping to help families with financial difficulties to learn more the funding policy and relieve their worries.

To provide students with full access to latest college news and other information, our university has made a panel, covering the college profile, training mode, education reform process and the characteristics of the Youren College. In order to promote the college culture and improve students' sense of belonging, we made delicate cultural shirts with the innovative characteristics of NWAFU, and inspires the new students to remember the college motto and write a new chapter of their history at CIE.
