On the evening of October 22nd, Awards Ceremony of Dormitory Design Competition was successfully staged in E206 with co-support of CIE, College of Water Resources and Architectural Engineering, College of Sciences and College of Enology. College secretaries of Working Committee of Communist Youth League and students counselors, along with the winners,   attended the great event.

First, the award winners demonstrated their design philosophy. By words and pictures, well-decorated rooms and lovely roommates’ photos were shown to the audience who were soon fully absorbed in the display. The talent shows, including guitar show, hip-hop and chorus, as the second part of the evening gala, brought a great feast and left the audience deep impression. Mz. Zhang Hanwen said to the students, “We hope your friendship deepened anytime you recall the good times you spend together. In the following years of college life, to learn to cherish and appreciate the companion of your roommates in all days here will be a lifelong treasure.” Last, the winners were awarded the certifications as the wonderful evening gala closed in thundering applause.

In the interview after the ceremony, Li Xiyang from CIE shared his feelings, “We see this competition a great opportunity for making a comfortable room and expressing our passion at music. Though it was a challenging job, we enjoyed greatly the competition. Considering the appreciation given to our efforts, it is all worthwhile to join the activity.” 

The award ceremony is to back-up all the participants for their high involvement in the activity and their design talent. It also serves to further the construction of college spiritual and civilization.
